Knocking

to bed late (1am), sleep in late (10:30am) early/middle: + at work, my workspace is too exposed, "LinkedIn" [DAY RESISDUE], desk confusion (girl's accessories), hot admin asks me for coffee, turns out we are just getting it from the kitchen + (longer scenes leading up to this) sister asking for paper towels, all they have is the roll kind I say, some man comments + LD#188 get off small bus with family, carrying lots of baggage slung over my shoulder which gets caught in the door a bit, look back in to find rest of bags and pull them out, standout outside on coast, it is HOT, I think it is going to be sweltering work to carry all these bags around in this heat. Some hot girl up ahead catches my attention, I follow her I notice she is topless, I hold back from engaging right up close to her as I remember the DoubleHelix approach of asking/declaring I want to take a picture of her (ahem), she playfully demurs and keeps moving away, I say how about a picture of you breasts? I realize I am dreaming and say out loud "I am dreaming" but I am in such a hurry to follow her that I quickly lose lucidity. + playing backgammon-like game: I have one second left on my timer, I must move FAST if I want to not lose on time, but my opponent does not start my timer when he makes his move, but I still jump for my dice [DAY RESIDUE from "inception"?] and roll and move very quickly. At some point I realize that I have moved twice in a row against the rules and let my opponent move. late/last: + starts out at YOU lake (boy scouts), low water, climbing over rocks, think what would be a good place to fish. then in house, girl has collection of different high quality recorders, I pick one out to play, and play "over the rainbow" [DAY RESIDUE], long confusing recorder, too many wholes for all the fingers, girl has a stack of them, I think I play beautifully but realize the sound I am imagining is partly in my head the "physical" sound I am producing is not quite as lovely. I ask what key is this record in, she answers "C", I look at a fistful of recorders in my hand and read tags, I think mine says "F", I go to a piano and play the C key and hold the recorder in my left hand and finger a middle "C" note with my thumb and middle finger, it sounds very different from the piano C so I look at her and shake my head "no", then I try again and the notes sound the same, putting the recorder back I knock over the container of recorders and freeze in position asking the owning girl for help to pick them up without spilling them to the ground. Then I am heading for bed and go through a kitchen area (up a few steps from the sunken living room [DREAM SIGN]), I see a picnic-style table with places set and several glasses full of a red berry drink, and on a counter to the right several pitchers of the same drink prepared for anybody who gets up in the middle of the night and wants a drink. I look at the table and there is a cat on it who knocks over a glass, I pick up the glass and put it back, thankfully it was one of the empty ones. (possibly from another night, these came to me just now as I am reviewing dreams/memories in preparation for bed) +(f) skiing down a tight chute on the mountain +(f) clearest encounter with dream mom since last year: she is sitting with my dad, I see her, she looks at me and smiles widely, some funny discoloration about her eyes.
