When a exiting a store with <PERSON> (my sig. other) and our 7-year-old daughter, <PERSON>, she wanders off as we take notice of a tall slender man down in the parking lot, randomly shooting at people with a shot gun. We scream to <PERSON> to come here and she runs and gets to me, we both lie down on the ground to avoid shots, only to look up and see him standing a few feet away pointing the gun at both of us. Just as he is about to shoot, <PERSON> pulls out a shot gun and starts firing at him. I roll with Nikola down a nearby hill, run down the street and to a outdoor food court. I sit on the ground with <PERSON>. I am in shock and shaking uncontrollably, unable to speak. I then hear that it has ended. So reluctantly get up and walk up the street toward the store. There are police everywhere. It is now raining. I approach an officer directing traffic. I ask "Is he alive?". The look on his face tells me no. He says "It was not from gunshot." then he is distracted and the feeling of total loss and devastation for Nikola and I is overwhelming. Then I wake up.
