I have never really heard of the term "lucid dreaming" until last night aimlessly surfing the web. I was intrigued by the idea that I could in some way take control of my dreams. Recalling dreams I guess I am a bit average, I can usually remember the basics of a dream about every other night. Last night I downloaded a few mp3's just out of plain curiosity. I listened to a one hour long track called "Subliminal Lucid 3.0" before going to bed, it was very relaxing and I was surprised to find that I actually listened to the whole track. It had very soothing music and a nice chime about every 5 minutes to keep the listener awake. I could also make-out someone speaking on the track, but the words were at lower volumes than the rest of the music. Anyways, I had a a few dreams, remembering only the last, but I would wake up after each. The last dream however was quite eerie and vivid, almost seemed life-like. It started with me standing in my room, but there was weird sounds in the background. It sounded like a muffled voice, almost like the one from the track that I had listened to before I went to bed. It was coming from all around me, and I started looking all around me to see where it was coming from, and that is when I saw my sister standing in the doorway. She was staring at the ground, and was positioned to where I was seeing her from her side. I called out her name, and with her head still bent downwards she turns her head and looks at me. Then she starts running towards me like something out of a bad zombie movie. That is when I jolt awake, and I was really freaking out. I guess it would kind of be classified as nightmarish, but I do not know. Right after waking I figured that what I was hearing in the background could have been that subliminal message that I was listening to the night before, telling me to do a reality check or something. I am not sure at all of what to make of everything, but I guess tonight I will try the same thing and hopefully not get spooked again.
